A short introduction so you can get a feel for who you’d be working with.

Stillwater Cove Therapy offers trauma-informed counseling for adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or worn down by life experiences, relationships, or work. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. This is a space where you can slow things down and work toward clarity and steadiness at a pace that respects your nervous system.

Who I Work With

I work with adults who are thoughtful, self-aware, and often high-functioning on the outside, but privately feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck. Many of my clients are navigating long-term stress, relationship dynamics, identity questions, or the emotional wear and tear of work and life transitions.

I’m especially well-suited for people who are motivated to engage in therapy with curiosity and intention. You don’t need to have everything figured out, but you do need to be open to reflection, honest conversation, and collaborative work. This is a space where swearing is welcome, humor is allowed, and you never have to clean up your story before bringing it in.

You don’t need to perform here. You get to be fully human.

My practice is best suited for clients who are relatively stable and able to engage in outpatient therapy. If you’re in a place that requires more immediate or intensive support, I’m happy to help point you toward resources that can better meet those needs.

Common Areas I Support

  • Individual therapy for adults navigating anxiety, chronic stress, and meaningful life transitions

  • Navigating the impact of difficult relationships and family dynamics

  • Anxiety, depression, ADHD, and persistent overwhelm that interfere with clarity or confidence

  • Addiction recovery with a focus on stability, boundaries, and sustainable change

  • Workplace stress, burnout, and professional identity challenges

  • Identity exploration, self-esteem repair, and major life adjustments

  • Dating and known relationship patterns

  • LGBTQ-affirming care

  • Supportive couples therapy for partners seeking improved communication, connection, and insight

    • Couples work in my practice is best suited for relatively stable partnerships where both people are motivated, respectful, and looking to strengthen communication and connection.

Clients who work well in this space are typically curious, motivated, and ready to engage thoughtfully in the process. Therapy here is active and collaborative, with space to slow things down, examine patterns, and talk honestly about what’s working and what isn’t.

My style blends warmth with directness and insight with practical guidance. We focus on building clarity, steadiness, and self-trust so that therapy supports real-world change, not just understanding for its own sake. When helpful, humor, metaphors, and real talk are part of the work.

This is not crisis-driven therapy or a place to stay stuck. It’s a space for intentional reflection, meaningful conversation, and forward movement, at a pace that respects both your nervous system and your goals.

How Therapy Feels Here

Services

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is designed for adults who want a thoughtful, collaborative space to gain clarity, build steadiness, and make meaningful changes. Sessions are active and reflective, balancing insight with practical guidance. This work is best suited for clients who are relatively stable, motivated, and ready to engage honestly in the therapeutic process.

Common themes include stress management, relationship patterns, identity questions, work-related burnout, recovery and boundary work, and navigating life transitions with greater confidence and self-trust.

All services at Stillwater Cove Therapy are currently offered virtually via secure telehealth. This allows for flexibility, continuity, and access to care from the comfort of your own space.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy is offered for partners seeking to strengthen communication, improve connection, and gain insight into relational patterns. This work is supportive and structured, focusing on collaboration rather than conflict management.

Couples work in my practice is best suited for relatively stable partnerships where both people are motivated, respectful, and able to engage productively in the process.
I do not offer couples therapy for high-conflict, crisis-driven, or emotionally unsafe relationships.

What To Expect

Starting therapy doesn’t have to feel complicated. Here’s what the process looks like:

Free Consultation

A free 15-minute phone call to explore fit. We’ll talk briefly about what’s bringing you in, what you’re looking for, and whether my approach aligns with your needs. I’ll answer questions and be honest about next steps.

Gather Information

If we decide to move forward, you’ll complete secure intake paperwork so I can get to know you ahead of time. This helps us use our first session well and begin forming your clinical chart with intention and care.

Intake & Planning

The intake session is our first full therapy session. We’ll go deeper into your history, current concerns, and goals, and begin shaping a collaborative plan for therapy. We’ll also talk through session frequency, policies, and logistics so everything feels clear moving forward.

Ongoing Therapy

From there, therapy continues at a steady, intentional pace. Sessions are collaborative, focused, and oriented toward clarity, stability, and meaningful change over time.
